Mummy's Lil' Pumpkin

My sister Robin had her first baby on Thanksgiving day, November 25th, 2011.  Ayden Grace is our little holiday baby.  With her December due date, we threw her baby shower in October and decided to go with a Halloween type them.  This was another family planning effort - they are all so creative!!!

I made up the invitations for this one.  Ayden's baby bedding is pink & green so we decided to tie those colors into the theme.  We didn't want to stray too far from the baby shower feel into just a Halloween party feel.

I had this custom banner made at shindigz.com - you can't beat their prices on banners and they make a great addition to decorations.

My mom painted this back drop for pictures and another great decor item:

We put baby items in the spider webbing across the fireplace to showcase the items to be used in the 'Price is Right' baby game.  Again, another great decor item that ties right in with the theme and provides goodies for the baby.

We painted and baby-dolled up pumpkins for decorations as well.

And hung these little 'Mummies' around the house:

The party favors were easy to make and tasted yummy.  Pink chocolate dipped Rice Krispy Treat Rattles & Mummy cookie pops.

Last but not least... THE CAKE!  The little mummies are twinkies wrapped in fondant strips placed around the big mummy chocolate cake.

The Oldfather's Casino Night

This was a 20th wedding anniversary party for a gamble-loving couple.  We couldn't afford to send them to Vegas so we brought Vegas to them!   Now we have a Casino Night party with the addition of a Godfather undertone - genius.

Started off by making the invitations and told everyone to be prepared to gamble:

I made up table limit cards.  We had enough dealers, chips & tables to play Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Blackjack & Craps.

I even had funny money printed up to go along with the poker chips we had.  This is one example where I photo-shopped the guest of honor's face onto this $100 bill.

I ordered a custom Casino Night banner from Shindigz:

These centerpieces were made of a giant martini glass with shimmery grass and water in the middle.  I added a glow stick for illuminations and sprinkled colored dice around the base.

Cake table!  I made a couple of dice cakes with 7 & 11 displayed on top.

Here's some party pics of everyone gambling the night away :-)
