A'hoy It's a Boy!

This baby shower theme was a family planning effort and was so much fun putting together!  My cousin Jamie was having a boy and she picked a nautical theme for the babies room, which made this baby shower theme perfect for her!  The shower was July, 2009 and baby Sam Carson was born August, 2009.

Our cousin put together a treasure chest of booty for the baby:

 

We plated up these Chicken Salad Pineapple Boats to serve for lunch.  The baby sailor on the sail says 'Carson' on the hat.  Can you see the shrimp?  They're rudders!  And we have bread sticks in the chx salad for oars.

My mom made the cake and the little fondant baby on top... And can't forget the sailor hat for mommy!

The shower was a huge hit.  Mommy, guests & the planners all had a great time!
